Banana Pancakes

Saw Jack Johnson last night!!! Absolutely awesome show!!! I'm in love with his new song Banana Pancakes (gotta make some sometime!) Ahh love the guy, such good songs, smooth voice, tanned surfy guy ahhhh! LOL Great atmosphere except for the smell of weed...but what do you expect when you go to these things. Nice setting with the sun going down, cool breeze blowing, relaxing on a rug on the grass, singing and dancing along with thousands of people, while Jack Johnson, G.Love and Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter and Xavier Rudd played groovy music all night long! Ah Bliss!

Day started off with me waking up early and getting up for work while Rich and Bram slept in! Lucky buggers, cept Rich was awake and talking to me. Helped myself to some breakfast and headed off to work. Work was ok, played with make-up again as usual and put out some stock. Dave visited me and scared the shit out of me coz I thought he was a customer behind me! Got a free gift from my manager- some Garnier stuff. Got myself a Boost Energy Lift coz man was I feeling lazy and yuck from a big night out for my cousin Andrew (GibbO!!)'s 30th at r.bar Port Melbourne and then to Illy's 20th at Frostbites (shuddup Ben :p) Hehe so yeah then I find out my bro needs to be picked up, when he and Dave should be lining up for a good spot in the line for JJ. Ahh well there was a lil confusion there (we still got good seats Rich! :p) So I pick Cam up and Dave is waiting at our house. Go pick Rich up and then we finally get to Sidney Myer Music Bowl after getting slushies and the boys hitting the crap out of each other playing a game where if you see a certain type of car you punch the person next to you. I think Rich won :P sorry Dave you were a lil slow hehe. So we get a park and find the line where Cam and Rich were waiting and boy it was looooong!!! Moved like 5 metres every 10 mins or so. Lucky for us Dave knew some friends who were already sitting on the lawn YaY! :D So we were sitting in front of the stage about half way up. Brb I need some Solo....

Ahh yummy yum yum! Thatsa better! Anyways where was I? Oh yeah, ate some munchies and Dave threw some BBQ shapes on me, so I threw them back! Lol lots of sillyness, and impatience waiting for the show to start. Taking photos with phone and random videos of us being silly and eating. Wondering whether the person dancing, holding a beer, wearing hippy pants and having shortish shaggy hair was a guy or a chick (apparently 'it' had tiny tits, so it was either a chick or a guy with tits :S) Surfy jerks and chicks in front of us throwing pieces of chunky chalk into the crowd standing up in front. Haha that was entertaining waiting to see who would be the next victim (even though dangerous) specially when a piece hit this chick in the side of the face, another bonked a guy on the head..you can't help but laugh :oP But it got a bit out of hand when one of them threw a glass bottle...

Then finally G.Love (Garrett) and Special Sauce came out, playing their groovilicious tunes! Then Donavon I think and then Xavier ('Look at him go!') He's an awesome one man band with good tunes to dance to (skank to) whatever you feel like. And then finally Jack! With these coolo background photos...looked awesome! (My bro just got home from social basketball- said he played 3 games- what a nutter!) Ah so in love with Banana Pancakes hehe played heaps of his other songs like On and On, Times Like These, Bubble Toes (awesome when everyone sang La da dada da da!!!) Rodeo Clowns, Taylor, Mudfootball and ahh I can't remember anymore but I have to get his new album!!! Such a good night! I recommend you go next time he is here!

Yup! Well Burritoes tonight...always a fav in the Sawyer household!! Illy's birthday on Wed...big shout out- HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY ILLY!!! Us 4 chicky babes- Illy, Ness, Ilke and I, are gonna be catching up over some lunch at Doyles yummy yum yums! Anyways lil brother darling heart (as mum would say haha) wants to go on the comp. Simple Things

Today was nice to say the least, compared to yesterday! Yesterday was a weird moody time for me. Today was awesome! :o) And here's just a few things that happened to me:

1) Walking back to my car after uni had finished. Its a long walk down this neighbourly street next to the train tracks but I don't mind it that much anymore. It's good exercise and with the sun shining and cool breeze blowing its quite nice.

2) On my walk today I came across this kitten whom I have seen a couple of times. He/she is always on the same corner of the street and never runs away when I come walking by. It either continues licking itself or looks up at you and stares as you walk by. Compared to my scaredy cat, this kitten is so placid and cute! Today it was just lying stretched out in the sun with its head on its outstretched paws and didn't even move a muscle when I came by. So cute! It brought a grin to my face :)

3) Sitting at the traffic lights behind a truck and seeing the truck driver singing along to the same music as me! (it was The Weekend by Michael Grey) "I can't waaaaiiit for the weekend to begin!" Haha

4) Having the Macca's people at the drive thru always ask me if I want a 'girl's toy or a boy's toy' with my Happy Meal. Do I look like a fricken boy to you?

5) Finding it entertaining watching a cop pull over people speeding through a school zone whilst I was waiting to pick my brother up. One dude didn't pull over- cop got his rego- that dude is fucked.

6) (This happened on Wed night) Arriving home and getting out of the car after picking up bro from basketball, singing the chorus from 'Holiday' by Greenday really loud, failing to notice a cyclist on the footpath!:-S Cracked up laughing as soon as I got inside! :p

7) Having my mum go 'OoooH Kaajie's up! Hi Kaajie!!' this morning. Because I had to get up early for once for Uni (7:30 :p) and mum and cam never see me out of bed when they leave.

8) I get to colour Bram's hair tonight! Not saying what colour because for some of you its meant to be a surprise and you might read this before you see it! :p Should turn out awesomely and very interestingly!

9) Giggling in my head about how my Business Statistics lecturer's head is too small for his body. He has stocky legs but his upper body is huge- like muscly huge! The guy is a tank. Looks like a turtle lol a really strong-pumped-up-my-biceps-are-too-big-for-my-tshirt turtle!

10) Asking my brother just now if I have done anything stupid today or yesterday. His response: 'Ahh nup. Even better Kirstin, you're not so dumb as before!....*pause* I don't think that will last long!' Lil Jerk!!! :p

Disappointing...

OK so not much happened to me today! Got some petrol from Nick the Caltex boy! I got me a happy meal for lunch (while driving) and the cheap Macca's people have run out of toys so I got the added bonus of a plastic super hero's cup. Joy! Not really but anyway you can't have too many cups. Cups! hahahaha :P sorry about that...inside joke. So yeah I was a good girl and did my marketing tute work all prepared and shit...lucky that, coz I got called on first to read out my answers! So had a good laugh with my friend Sarah in class and yeah skooted off back home after an hour. Ahh its a good life! Hmms I have over 1000 songs in my winamp list now...getting rid of the shit that I don't like any longer. Day off tomoz! Yay! Going shopping with Bram, should be entertaining lol! Rich knows what I mean....I am sooo fun to shop with! :P Had a good speaking to tonight, made me realise a lot of things (you know who you are!) I thank you for it. Keeping it real dude! Hmms well since my bro was on this computer for the majority of this afternoon/tonight, I got the chance to watch a bit of telly. Was planning on watching my fav show Survivor but it hasn't grasped my full attention this year and I therefore found myself watching Dancing With The Stars and seeing Nikki Webster get bad scores Mwahahaha! OC rocks my socks...Seth was funny when he was drunk lol god bless the lil guy! Hehe umms and yeah yar yep nothing else! Bed soonish with music...what shall I listen to? Maybe The Used cd that I found my brother had knicked from me without me realising...lil bugger has had it for a few good months now! Or maybe something a lil less outrageous! Ahh we'll see. I bid thee goodnight!

Ok well as it seems to me (and was also pointed out to me) that my blog has been off on a tangent...no longer has it included funny/stupid/gullible things that have happened to me, but more photos and song lyrics- SLACK! I plan to change this! I promise that by tonight I will write what happened to me today and maybe random days after that. Also a note to my friends who write blogs- don't bitch about other people on a public blog if you don't want them to see it, you'll only cause more problems.

Crash Into Me

Do you ever get that? You find a song, and the first time you hear it, you either fall in love with it or don't like it but listen to it long enough and it grows on you? I'm currently obsessed with 4 songs at the moment, 3 were recommended to me (1 said to be 'my song') and 1 that I have had for a while. Now the thing is, since I like them so much, I have been listening to them over and over and over and over again! This is a good thing and also a bad thing, good as they make me feel good :) bad as I will quickly get sick of them :( I doubt it somehow....but some other song will come along and yeah the process repeats itself. It's nice to have a song that reminds someone of you :) it has meaning then, and is not just lyrics and tunes...except all songs have some sort of meaning, as that is what they were written for.

Hmm so yeah, I love my music. I need it everyday. I listen to it in the morning, on the comp, in the car, at night on my discman....I can't get enough! :P
